Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Abuja, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear functional features and ensure the seamless delivery of business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
Work closely with product managers, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Define and manage the product backlog, supporting sprint planning and prioritization activities.
Create comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams.
Analyze existing systems, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend enhancements aligned with business goals.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in validating developed features.
Conduct gap analyses and impact assessments for new requirements or change requests.
Prepare detailed and high-quality documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and process diagrams.
Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and drive timely issue resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Feature Analyst, or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience in Cross-Border Payments is mandatory.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, and similar platforms.
Strong documentation skills (BRD, FSD, user stories, etc.).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
Experience in BFSI / Payments / Fintech domains.
Working knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools.
Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA.
